Western Blot
Western blotting is a molecular biology technique used to detect and analyze specific proteins in tissue or extracted samples. This method allows for visualization, identification, and quantification of proteins within a sample. In this experiment, you will apply Western blotting to the stained SDS-PAGE gels containing denatured protein samples isolated from liver tissue at a known concentration. Then, you will perform imaging to observe and evaluate the intensity of protein bands between samples.
