Quadrat Sampling

Quadrat Sampling

Quadrat sampling can be done by dividing the field completely into unit squares or choosing a transect and choosing unit squares along the transect (line). For example, the number of plants along a transect starting from entry of the park to the center will be less in unit squares at the beginning of the transect compared to the unit squares at the end of the transect. In this experiment, you will first determine the population size by random sampling and then investigate the correlation between distance and population by sampling along a transect.
