Pressure due to Solids and Liquids
Pressure is the normal force acting on a surface per unit surface area. In this experiment, you are going to show that the pressure exerted by a solid depends on the contact surface area and the weight acting on the surface; the pressure exerted by a liquid depends on the density and height of the liquid. You are going to calculate the pressure exerted by bodies stacked on top of each other and the pressure exerted by non-mixing liquids.
