Production of hydrogen and oxygen by water electrolysis Measurement of volume values for hydrogen and oxygen gases formed in water electrolysis Experimental determination of Faraday constant
Categories: Thermodynamics Laboratory
In this experiment, electrolysis of water with Hoffman tube will be carried out and the electric energy will be used for the separation of hydrogen and oxygen gases. Electrodes made of platinum or stainless steel are used in the Hoffman tube for electrolysis. You will be observing the stages of electrolysis and calculating the measurements.
Thermal expansion of solid materials. Investigate how heat affects the dimensions of materials when heated through a temperature range.
Heat, temperature and specific heat are different by units, symbol and ability to work. Learn to determine, analyze the difference and calculate.
Measure the power produced on a current-carrying conductor and verify Joule’s law.
Electrons are point masses with a certain mass and they behave in a magnetic field. Calculate the mass of the electron.
