Production of hydrogen and oxygen by water electrolysis Measurement of volume values for hydrogen and oxygen gases formed in water electrolysis Experimental determination of Faraday constant
Categories: Thermodynamics Laboratory
In this experiment, electrolysis of water with Hoffman tube will be carried out and the electric energy will be used for the separation of hydrogen and oxygen gases. Electrodes made of platinum or stainless steel are used in the Hoffman tube for electrolysis. You will be observing the stages of electrolysis and calculating the measurements.
You will be calculating expansion measurements and learn all about linear thermal expansion. Test the experiment, collect your data and see your impro
