e/m Electron Indication Experiment

Movement within a magnetic field next to electrons under different voltages

Study of the Lorentz force and the Biot-Sawart law for various accelerating voltage and current values according to the orbit of the electron beams

Calculation of the magnetic field generated by two Helmholtz coils passing through the electric current

Experimental determination of charge / mass (e / m) ratio of cathode rays (electrons)

An electromagnetic Lorentz force is applied to an electron moving at a velocity v perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field (B) perpendicular to the velocity and magnetic field. You will be learning how to calculate the specific weight of an electron-based on this information. Don’t forget to check your data during the experiment.
