Spectrophotometry Experiment

To understand the working principle of spectrophotometry
To explain Lambert-Beer law
To obtain standard curve and equation
To calculate the unknown sample concentration

Spectroscopy examines interaction between light and matter. As light passes through a solution, some of its energy is trapped by the matter in the solution. This leads to a decrease in light intensity. In this experiment, we will plot a standard graph by measuring the absorption of solutions of known concentrations. Then, we will use this graph to find the concentration of an unknown solution.
